Poems That Inspire

Poetry has always been a source of joy and encouragement, however: as I have gotten older I find pleasure in writing poems that are inspirational. Many of the poems are written with the help of an AI program and most have a Christian theme..

Welcome to a quiet corner of the internet where words are meant to lift, steady, and inspire. Here, each poem is more than a collection of lines—it is a moment of reflection, a breath of hope, and sometimes, a whisper of truth for the heart that needs it. Whether you arrive carrying joy, searching for peace, or walking through a difficult season, you will find words here that meet you where you are.

These poems are written to:

  • Encourage when life feels heavy
  • Bring clarity when thoughts are scattered
  • Remind you that you are not alone
  • Point your heart toward faith, hope, and purpose

Some are gentle. Some are strong.
Some speak softly into the quiet places.
Others rise like a song when strength is needed most.

Take your time here.
Read slowly.
Let the words settle.

And if even one line stays with you—
if one thought lifts your spirit or steadies your step—
then this space has served its purpose.

When Evening Arrives

When evening arrives on quiet feet,
And day retreats in soft defeat,
When shadows stretch and voices fade,
And light grows thin where once it stayed—

The world grows still, the heart grows wide,
With all the thoughts the day would hide,
Each worry whispered, each unseen tear,
Finds gentle space when night draws near.

The noise is gone, the rush is past,
No need to hurry, hold, or grasp,
For time itself seems slow to move
Beneath the sky of fading blue.

For God is near when light is low,
In softened winds that barely blow,
In silent grace, in breath, in sigh—
In all the places words pass by.

So let the evening do its part,
To calm the mind and still the heart,
For not all endings break or sever—
Some draw us close to Him forever.

We Can Still See Jesus in the Dark

We Can Still See Jesus in the Dark

When night comes down without a sound,
And shadows gather all around,
When paths grow dim and hope feels far,
And faith burns low, a fragile spark—

We can still see Jesus in the dark.

Not with eyes that seek the day,
Or sunlight chasing fear away,
But with a heart that dares to trust
When all we hold returns to dust.

For He is near when sight is gone,
A steady light to lean upon,
No night so deep, no valley stark—
We can still see Jesus in the dark.

When prayers feel lost in silent skies,
And tears fall soft from weary eyes,
When answers fade and doubts arise,
And truth is hard to recognize—

He walks beside, though unseen now,
With nail-scarred hands and faithful vow,
No fear can stand, no doubt can mark
The One we see beyond the dark.

And when the dawn is slow to break,
And every step feels hard to take,
Still grace will guide each trembling heart—
For Christ is there within the dark.

So hold the light you cannot see,
And trust the truth that sets you free:
No night can hide, no shadow part
The love that lets us see His heart.

Love Never Ends

Love is not a fading flame,
Nor bound to time or touched by change,
It does not break when seasons turn,
Nor vanish when the candles burn.

It lives beyond the spoken word,
In quiet acts that go unheard,
In gentle care, in unseen ways,
It stretches far beyond our days.

When distance comes or shadows fall,
Love does not weaken, not at all,
It finds a path through every end—
For love was never meant to bend.

It lingers where the heart has known,
In seeds of grace already sown,
In every memory, soft and true,
A lasting thread that carries through.

And though the world may shift and sway,
And moments slowly fade away,
There stands a truth both deep and sure—
Love still remains… and will endure.

I Am Tired and Weary Lord

I am tired and weary, Lord,
My strength feels thin, my steps unsure,
The road I walk seems long and worn,
And I am not as strong as before.

The weight I carry, day by day,
Has slowly pressed my heart down low,
And even words I try to pray
Feel faint, as though they cannot flow.

But still I turn my face to You,
Though all I bring is weariness,
No polished faith, no strength made new—
Just quiet need and emptiness.

And in that place where I am weak,
Where all my striving falls apart,
I hear You gently, softly speak:
“I give My rest to the weary heart.”

No burden now I bear alone,
No path I walk without Your hand,
For even here, where strength has gone,
Your grace is more than I had planned.

So I will rest within Your care,
Not by my strength, but held by You,
For when I have no strength to spare—
Your strength, O Lord, will carry through.

Poem: Courage Has Said Its Prayers

Image

Courage is faith that has said its prayers,
And rises still, though no one stares,
Though answers wait, though skies are dim—
It steps ahead, still trusting Him.

It does not shout, nor boast, nor claim,
No fire of pride, no need for name,
Just quiet strength the soul has found
In sacred moments, bowed low down.

It trembles, yes—but still goes on,
When fear is loud and light seems gone,
For something deeper, still and true,
Has met with God… and carries through.

Not born of self, nor will alone,
But seeded where His grace is sown,
Where whispered prayers, both weak and small,
Are heard by One who holds it all.

So when the road feels steep and long,
And you feel anything but strong,
Remember this—your strength is there:
Courage is faith that’s said its prayer.
